This artwork was made in the autumn of 2022 in Bow Brickhill, Uk.

It was inspired by a passage in Barbara Ehrenreich's book Dancing in the Streets: A History of Collective Joy in which ancient people would form together to appear not as individually weak and defenseless humans, but as a single, very large animal when faced with much larger predators. In some ways this resonated with me as something we can still learn from as we deal with increasingly harsh social and economic environments.
